Help Me Out Here...

I've had several people email me recently telling me the Internet Explorer is shutting down when they view my site.

Are you having problems too?

I use Firefox and everything is quite lovely in Firefox-land. Out of curiosity I opened up my IE and tried to log onto my site and I'm getting nothing in the right hand sidebar {or if I do, it's all a little skewed}.

Could you all chime in and let me know what you are using to view my site and if you are having any issues?

This would also be the point that I mention again HOW MUCH I LOVE FIREFOX...and how much IE annoys me {I'll step off my soapbox now}.

Update: Could you let me know which version of IE you are using? 7 or 8? There is a possibility that it could also be linked to either the 'link within' widget that I was using or the followers widget...I'm checking into it! In the meantime, you won't see the 'followers' or link within. Let me know if that makes a difference.

  • I use FF but pulled your blog up in IE.. it works fine.. there is some issues w/ the right side bar running out of space.. but my IE doesn't crash.

  • IE and blogger were fighting for a while there. From what I gathered, it was/is something to do with the Followers gadget.

    The issue seems to be resolved on my site now. Not sure exactly what was happening...

  • I use IE and some blogs crash immediately upon opening. I don't know what it is. Maybe I will try FF.

    Yours was doing that for a bit but seems fine the past three days!

  • Jolanthe, I use IE and I was having probs with viewing multiple blogs. But, for now, yours seems to shut down on my the post...that is why it took awhile for me to post my Preschool Corner link. It doesn't happen all the time though. Call me crazy, but how do you use Firefox? Do I have to purchase it or download? I have no idea how to go about it...

  • I use IE. When I am viewing one individual post, I see your sidebar. When I am viewing the whole blog, the homepage I guess, then the right side disappears. But it doesn't crash for me.

  • Every once and a while it says something about aborting the operation and it closes out the window. We use IE. Other times I have no problem at all and I just reopen the site. I LOVE your blog and just recently came across it. It'll take more than a few red x's and windows closing to keep me away! :)

  • Yes this has happened to several blogs I try to view as well as my own. I have found it extremely annoying. I would use Fire Fox, but I just don't like the way the text looks on my computer and I have not figured out how to change it.

  • I pull you up in Google Reader...but when I click over to read the entire post in IE8, sometimes I gives me an error message. When it does I click through it and use the arrow to go back to the previous page, then it works.

  • Sometimes it's coming up, sometimes it's not. So I just try back from time to time.

  • I use Internet Explorer, but have had on an occasion or two, a problem getting to your site. Worked fine tonight.

    I'm having no problems getting to you. I do use IE and sometimes have trouble getting to some blogs but not yours. Thanks for asking.
