Preschool Corner ~ Adding 5K!!

There have been quite a few of you asking me if it would be ok for you to continue linking up with the Preschool Corner because your child had turned 5.

YES!!! Please do! :)

We’ll be transitioning our boys in the upcoming weeks and BOTH will be included in the Preschool Corner.  It will continue  to be called the Preschool Corner, but in honor of adding a ‘step-up’ level, I put together a new button for you all to use.

Those of you who already have it linked in your sidebar might have noticed the little change. Otherwise, here is the new button and code for you to use if you would like to grab it for yourself!

  • Is 5K your Kindergarten year or another year of preschool? How do you label your school years... I have a daughter that will be 5 in October. She will not be old enough for our area's Kindergarten until the Fall of 2011. I am having trouble "labeling" her year this fall. Preschool or Kindergarten. Help?

  • I was just wondering this today, boy you were reading my mind, that is spooky :) No Selena will not be 5 but I do believe she will be working K material next Fall, this summer all she has is to finish getting those handwriting skills down. I am already running out of pre-K material, so we are making a lot of lessons up as we go, which are truly moving into the K area themselves.

  • Zachary technically missed our school districts age cut off this year also. :) 5K is basically equivalent to Kindergarten ~ or really whatever you and your 5 year old are doing!

    Kids vary in their abilities even when they are in the same classroom in the same age. The main focus is to do what works for you child, their learning abilities and just have FUN!! :)
