Celebrating with Carisa!

Carisa at 1+1+1=1 has become a great blog friend of mine over the last bit and right now she is celebrating her blog reaching 1,000 subscribers. If you've never visited her blog, be sure to stop by and say hi. She is celebrating her milestone with some great giveaways soon that you won't want to miss!

Meanwhile, if you are stopping by as part of the 'introduce yourself' tour, here is a little bit about me:

My name is:
Jolanthe ~ are you sitting there wondering how to pronounce that? Yo-lawn-tha

I have:
a wonderful husband, Rick and 4 great kiddos ~ Laurianna (8), McKenna (6), Zachary (4), and Kaleb (2)

I am:
always busy, never tire of hearing my kids laugh, never sure of what my 4-year-old will do next, a much-behind scrapbooker, and at this point up too late again...

The name of my blog is:
Homeschool Creations & No Ordinary Moments

I blog about:
No Ordinary Moments is where the 'me' comes out and I share about all the crazy things that happen in our house. Homeschool Creations is more focused on our homeschooling life and what we're doing in that realm.

I have been reading at 1+1+1=1:
Hmmmm....uncertain on that, but it has been awhile now.

This is my first time commenting on 1+1+1=1:
Umm....no. Sadly, Carisa probably sees more email from me than is necessary. :)

My favorite Bible verse:
Lately it has been Zechariah 4:10 - "Do not despise these small beginnings." I like the verse enough that I even blogged about it. :)

I participate in Tot School:
Well, technically that would be Kaleb that does more of the participating, but yes, I do!

  • I was going to e-mail the other day to ask how to pronounce your name. Thank you for the clarification! Because I've had the wrong pronunciation in my head for so long, I must reprogram!

    Have a great day!

  • Thanks for the heads up about the 1+1+1=1 site. She sounds wonderful, too! I wish things would settle down so I would spend more time on stuff for Emma. She seems to get the least from me right now. I am simply planning to do reading 100 easy lessons (we are also reading American Girl (Kit) stories and Little Women, and let her do much of what Nick does for now, but your site etc makes me realize how much I can be doing:) I liked reading more about y'all. PS: we are heading that way. I am so excited!

  • Good to know that I have been pronouncing your name wrong! I was saying Jo- lan- (short a sound) thee (soft "th" sound). Make total sense now though - often in the Bible all the J's had a Y sound. (Joseph is actually Yosef). :-)
