I'm in the middle of putting together my planner for the upcoming year. For some reason I am unable to start planning until the entire thing is put together and "just so".Of course, that means I have to make new forms for myself to make my planner all pretty and nice.
I opted to print my own planner this year and use a 3-ring binder since we have a printer that is capable of doing double-sided printing {HOORAY!!}.
But I digress. I was talking about forms. Last year I went through a spiral bound notebook and ended up writing and re-writing my weekly layout. This year I'm saving myself the trouble and have my planning forms ready to go. We usually spent two weeks studying a country and had a basic format we followed each week.
There are four pages in the document - two of them are the basic outline that I keep at the front of my planner and the other two allow for a little more space to write in books, page numbers, book names, websites, and other information that I find while planning.
Hope these help you out!

Thanks for the planner! I enjoy reading your blog.

This is a great way to plan. I should learn from the masters and plan both my personal and professional life better. I am always more "whatever strikes my fancy" person :)
I am SO happy to have found your blog!! I am currently planning our homeschool "trip around the world" with my 8 and 3 year old boys and have devoured all of your galloping the globe posts. I'm so inspired! Thank you!

We are going around the world this year, too. And I was wondering where you find Missionary stories? :)
Thanks! I'm planning on planning right now too - so much fun getting things in order (I think.)
This seems like such a great way to do it...is learning about the countries your entire social studies plan, or is that in addition to a "traditional" curriculum? I'm just wondering because I'm in the middle of planning my girls' year, and this would be a great addition!
I adore this blog - my first year homeschooling my boys (6, 4 1/2, 2:)) & I've gotten super ideas for all 3 of them. Where do you get your missionary stories for each country? Thanks so, so much for all your hard work.
Love these lesson plans! Thanks for the link. We are using the book *Galloping the Globe* this year and these will really help.
Thank you for all of this. Your printables and downloads area and will help me so much over the next year. I can't thank you enough for your willingness to take the time to do this. I was struggling with History for my DD and then when I saw this I thought this is perfect. Along with the Little Passports I will be set. I will have a newborn Lord willing when we start this curriculum so planning is a must.
Thanks a million!
Kelly
What age if this lesson plan for? I have a 3 year old and am not sure where to start with Geography.
